CHICAGO - Thomas Kennedy has joined the Chicago law firm Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd LLP as an associate. At Butler Rubin, he will concentrate his practice in the firm's complex business disputes and creditors' rights practice groups.
Most recently, Kennedy was an associate at in the Chicago office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in its corporate restructuring department. While at Skadden, he performed extensive work in connection with the transformational restructuring of a global automotive parts manufacturer. His litigation experience includes having represented both debtors and creditors in various Chapter 11 cases.
A 2003 magna cum laude graduate of Boston University, he received his B.A. in economics and political science. Between college and law school, he worked as an economist for the Bureau of Labor Statistics in Washington, D.C. He received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 2008.
