CLEVELAND - Thompson Hine LLP partner Kip T. Bollin was installed as president of the Northern District of Ohio Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA) on Oct. 13. The installation ceremony and swearing in of the 2010-2011 officers and board of directors took place at the Carl B. Stokes U.S. Courthouse here.
Bollin, a member of the firm's Product Liability Litigation, Business Litigation and Life Sciences practice groups, focuses primarily on the defense of complex product liability and business claims, including putative class actions. Before joining the firm, he was a law clerk to U.S. Judge Sam H. Bell of the Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division.
Bollin also serves on the Rules Committee of the Advisory Group for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and is a member of the Product Liability Committee and the Commercial Litigation Committee of the Defense Research Institute. In addition, he sits on the board of directors of The Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland.
The FBA is dedicated to the advancement of the science of jurisprudence and to promoting the welfare, interests, education and professional development of all attorneys involved in federal law.
