Mealey's Elder Law - Decedent's Electronic Note Constitutes A Valid Will, Michigan Panel Says

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - A Michigan probate court did not err in concluding that a decedent intended an electronic note to constitute his will, the Michigan Court of Appeals said July 17 in affirming that the document constitutes a valid will under Michigan law (In re Estate of Duane Francis Horton II Guardianship and Alternatives Inc. v. Lanora Jones, No. 339737, Mich. App., 2018 Mich. App. LEXIS 2813).
