NY: Slip and Fall on Icy Sidewalk Just Outside Employer’s Entrance Found Compensable

Determining that a claimant’s injuries occurred in the “gray area” where the risks of the commute merge with the risks of the employment, a New York appellate court affirmed an award to an employee who slipped and fell on an icy public sidewalk just outside a primary entrance to the employer’s premises.
