Patents and Inventions Reissue 1

Additional content for the first reissue of the Patents and Inventions title, written by David Koedyk, has been published and is now available online, which is completing the coverage in this title of new content in relation to the law of patents.  In addition to Chapters already published (Chs 1 to 6), new content has been added online offering essential guidance on the examination of patent applications by IPONZ (Ch 7), opposition to grants of patents (Ch 8), re-examination after the acceptance of a patent application (Ch 9), and also includes new material relating to the revocation and surrender of patents (Ch 10), the restoration of lapsed patents applications (Ch11), and on what constitutes infringement of a patent (Ch 12). Concluding the patents section of this reissued title are new chapters on compulsory licences and the use of inventions by the Crown (Ch 13), international agreements (Ch 14), and patents attorneys (Ch 15).

Content for the remainder of this first reissue of the title, which will offer coverage on the topic of plant variety rights, is currently in development, and will be published as soon as it becomes ready for release. This will mark the completion of this title in full, at which point the title will also be published in hard copy format.
