Superannuation Reissue 1
Volume 2024 Part 11 is now available online.
The first reissue of the title “Superannuation” is now available online. Written by Victoria Stace, the title offers completely revised and updated content covering the law of superannuation in New Zealand. Starting with a historical overview of early schemes to the present day in Part I, the title then offers more specific coverage on the New Zealand Superannuation under the New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income Act 2001 in Part II, financial conduct regulation matters affecting the regulation of superannuation schemes in Part III, followed by content on KiwiSaver, as well as other schemes, such as public sector schemes and related legislation that established the Government Superannuation Fund and National Provident Fund, in Parts IV and V. Also included in the reissue of this title are completely new features on responsible investing, and on the interface between superannuation schemes and human rights issues flowing from the Human Rights Act 1993, in Parts VI and VII. The title, in its penultimate Part, then examines some of the other legislation that is of relevance to the law of superannuation, concluding with some of the general taxation provisions that apply to superannuation in New Zealand, in Parts VIII and IX.
