Biography:

Dr Dominic Katter is a barrister-at-law, mediator, adjudicator, and arbitrator with extensive experience in commercial litigation and administrative law. He has particular expertise in resource, construction, and revenue litigation, as well as arbitration.

Called to the Bar in 2001 after admission as a solicitor in 1998, Dr Katter has since built a distinguished career in dispute resolution. He has been a sessional member of the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal since 2014.

Dr Katter is a Fellow and a member of the Panel of Arbitrators (Secondary) of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. His professional practice extends internationally, with rights of audience in the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts and registration as a Foreign Lawyer with the Singapore International Commercial Court.

Before commencing as a barrister, Dr Katter undertook his articles at Corrs Chambers Westgarth Lawyers, served as the Research Officer to the Court of Appeal of Queensland, and was the Associate to the Honourable Justice I. D. F. Callinan AC of the High Court of Australia.

Dr Katter is a graduate of Cambridge University, where he was a Wakefield Scholar. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School, having been awarded the Clive Gard Scholarship by the Harvard Club of Australia, and holds a doctorate in law.
