Biography:
Eliza advises clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors on contentious matters arising from major projects. She is admitted to practice in both Australia and New Zealand, and regularly acts for clients across both jurisdictions. She has particular expertise in managing disputes arising in the context of Public Private Partnerships, acting for the contractor in pursuing claims against government.
Eliza is experienced in large-scale arbitration, both domestic and international, concerning complex issues of delay, disruption, change and contract termination. She also acts for clients during the project delivery phase, providing contract administration, claims preparation and dispute avoidance strategies. Eliza takes a commercially pragmatic approach in all matters on which she is engaged, and care in ensuring clients’ matters are efficiently managed.
Recent projects Eliza has been involved in include onshore wind and solar, road, rail, tunnel, warehousing, intermodal facilities, social building infrastructure (including hospitals), commercial and residential building developments, waste to energy, chemical processing plants and LNG.
