Biography:
Ish Omar is a partner in Webb Henderson’s Telecommunications, Media & Technology practice, where he works at the intersection of law, digital infrastructure and technology-led transformation. With a background in both computer science and law, he brings a rare ability to translate complex technical and regulatory issues into clear commercial outcomes for clients across the digital economy.
Ish acts for leading digital infrastructure builders, investors and operators. He is trusted by Australia’s National Broadband Network Company as lead external adviser on its key revenue arrangements and long-term regulatory framework, and by Spark New Zealand on landmark transactions such as the creation and sale of its new media, mobile tower and data centre businesses.
At the application layer, Ish advises innovators building the next wave of digital ecosystems, from trusted digital identity and verifiable credentials to novel B2B AI solutions.
Recognised for a number of years in Chambers Asia-Pacific for TMT, Ish joined Webb Henderson in 2011 and became a partner in 2016. His work is defined by long-term client relationships, deep sector insight and a focus on helping organisations build resilient, future-ready digital infrastructure.
