He has personally appeared for a variety of companies, corporations and top executive and management personnel in accident investigations and inquiries, in particular, following major mine and occupational accidents and disasters in South Africa’s Westonaria, Rustenburg, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Free State and Northern Cape areas. He has also done appearances in criminal matters and inquests.

    Pieter is the author of LexisNexis’ Occupational Health and Safety Law, a loose-leaf commentary on the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 with Willem.     Biography:

    Nolu Mpekelana is an award winning technology professional. She is a Founder and Managing Director for CodeNgwana, an organisation that is focused on teaching kids how to code. Her main objective is to help the African child go digital through teaching computational thinking and coding to kids. She has 10 years’ experience in IT management from the financial services sector, institution of higher learning and mining. Her entry into the education and technology space was mainly inspired by the skills shortages in the field of technology and she wanted to do something to change that and also based on her love for knowledge and creating new solutions. She hold a Bcom honours degree in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town (UCT) along with various industry certifications and management qualifications. She is a kid’s book author, and writes stories of technology for children. Among her work she serves as a board member at Waves for Change, an organisation that focuses on mental health through surf therapy. She is also heavy involved in the social entrepreneurship space and serves as a mentor for the Miller Centre of Social Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University in Silicon Valley. Nolu is a firm believer and advocate for digital inclusion. She is also a mother, who loves art and travelling. She believes children are natural problem solvers as their minds are uncorrupted. When they are empowered a whole new world of possibilities is possible.
