Al Khaleej, 29 September 2026: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange has launched an expanded Investor Relations Guide, introducing new compliance requirements and enforcement measures for listed companies.
The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) Group has launched an updated and expanded Investor Relations Guide aimed at strengthening transparency, investor confidence and long-term value creation among listed companies. The guide provides practical frameworks, procedural checklists and templates to help issuers move beyond basic compliance towards a more strategic approach to investor communications.
The guide applies to companies listed on ADX and growth markets and sets out six mandatory operational requirements, including the appointment of an investor relations officer, maintaining a dedicated investor relations webpage, publishing investor presentations, disclosing material information within prescribed deadlines, and submitting periodic and annual reports.
In addition to the mandatory requirements, the guide covers 12 areas of investor relations practice, including financial results presentations, crisis communications, ESG disclosures, regulatory compliance and IPO preparedness. ADX stated that stronger and more consistent communication with investors can support liquidity, fair valuation and the attraction of long-term institutional capital.
To encourage implementation, ADX will recognise companies demonstrating exemplary compliance and best practices through annual awards. Companies that fail to comply with the mandatory requirements may face official warnings or financial penalties, which will be added to annual listing renewal fees, with penalty amounts determined by the market according to the nature of the violation.
