Al Khaleej, 8 June 2026: The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority confirmed five conditions for completing reservation exchanges in housing projects offered under the “Expression of Interest” service, enabling beneficiaries to swap bookings electronically via the dedicated “Abu Dhabi Housing” app.
The authority explained that beneficiaries can exchange reservations either by mutual agreement with another applicant or through the digital exchange platform, with the process carried out entirely online.
To benefit, applicants must hold an active request under the “Expression of Interest” service and have already selected a project. The five conditions for completing an exchange are:
Service type match between both parties.
Social status match between applicants.
Submission of the exchange request before completing the unit reservation.
Ability to exchange reservations between projects in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain regardless of location.
The other party’s request must be active and not cancelled or rejected at the time of submission.
Additional rules stipulate that only one exchange request can be submitted at a time, and any modifications to the “Expression of Interest” request are suspended while an exchange request is active.
In a video tutorial, the authority demonstrated how beneficiaries can use the service: applicants can browse available projects on the platform, select the most suitable option, and submit an exchange request. Users may also publish their reservation on the exchange platform directly through the app’s homepage.
