Bahrain Tribune, 12 July 2026: Bahrain Bourse has launched Investor Relations (IR) Guidelines for Mainboard Market companies, aiming to strengthen communication with shareholders and enhance disclosure standards.
The guidelines, announced as part of Bahrain Bourse’s capital market development strategy, provide listed companies with a structured framework for investor engagement. They combine mandatory requirements with recommended best practices to foster transparency, improve investor confidence and support long‑term market sustainability.
Mandatory requirements include the establishment of a dedicated Investor Relations section on company websites by 31 March 2028, ensuring access to news, financial reports, governance disclosures and other material information. Companies with a market capitalisation of BHD 100 million or more must appoint an Investor Relations Officer and hold an annual earnings call within 10 working days of publishing results.
Beyond these obligations, the guidelines encourage companies to adopt best practices such as participating in capital market roadshows, supporting analyst coverage and engaging actively with diverse investor segments. These measures align with Bahrain Bourse’s ESG strategy and sustainability goals, while promoting a culture of continuous communication between companies and stakeholders.
