Dubai: GDRFA Completes AI-Driven Institutional Review to Enhance Services

Gulf News, 18 May 2026: The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai) has completed a comprehensive institutional review, resulting in the launch of an AI-powered decision-support system designed to accelerate decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and enhance government services.

The review assessed operational readiness, governance, and data analysis, aligning with GDRFA Dubai’s strategy to strengthen institutional excellence and build a proactive government model driven by artificial intelligence.

Over 10 strategic meetings chaired by Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, and attended by Deputy Director General Lieutenant General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, focused on accelerating development initiatives, strengthening institutional coordination, and embedding data-driven decision-making.

The initiative introduced predictive analytics and AI technologies to support proactive decision-making, monitor indicators in real time, and improve responses to challenges. Outcomes included faster government service delivery, stronger institutional integration, and enhanced customer experience.

Governance mechanisms, oversight frameworks, and risk management systems were also developed to support sustainability and agility, reflecting Dubai’s future-focused approach.

Lieutenant General Al Marri emphasised that advancing government performance requires agile systems capable of adapting to future transformations, with AI adoption serving as a key pillar in operational efficiency and service quality.
