Al Khaleej, 18 September 2026: Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has introduced four compliance guides covering private education institutions, as part of the emirate’s “Flexible Regulatory Framework” under the Dubai Education Strategy 2033.
The guides aim to establish a dynamic regulatory system that responds to changes in the education sector, strengthens community trust, and supports innovation and growth. They cover early childhood centres, private schools, higher education institutions and training institutes, ensuring oversight across the learner’s journey from early years to lifelong learning.
Each guide sets out operational and regulatory commitments that institutions must meet according to their activity type. These include adherence to existing legislation and policies, continuous compliance monitoring, and measures to protect learner and parent rights. The initiative is designed to enhance service quality, efficiency and sustainability across Dubai’s private education sector.
