The Peninsula, 1 July 2026: The Cabinet has endorsed a draft Emiri Decision regulating the preparation of legislation, replacing Qatar Emiri Decision No. 33/2000 on the Procedures for Drafting Legislation
Prepared by the Council of Ministers Secretariat General in coordination with relevant entities, the draft decision aims to regulate the preparation, review, and issuance of draft legislative instruments. It seeks to strengthen legislative work, enhance planning and governance, and ensure laws remain aligned with national strategies and future developments.
