In a session held on 13 August 2026, QCAA officials briefed travel agencies, air freight operators and aviation stakeholders on updated licensing protocols and operational standards. The framework aims to strengthen transparency, accountability and service quality across the aviation and logistics sectors.
The requirements emphasise strict licensing procedures, adherence to approved operational benchmarks, and enhanced oversight through inspections and direct communication channels. Agencies must comply with service quality standards for both passenger and cargo services or risk suspension.
QCAA highlighted that the initiative builds on recent enforcement actions earlier in 2026, including closures of non‑compliant agencies, and reflects Qatar’s broader strategy to modernise aviation governance and safeguard consumer interests.
