The Peninsula, 25 July 2026: Qatar’s Ministry of Transport announced the full resumption of maritime navigation activities for all vessels and ships as of Sunday, 26 July 2026, signalling a return to normal operations across the sector.
The ministry confirmed that all maritime activities may now proceed, provided operators comply with regulations and ensure safety and security equipment are on board before sailing. The decision reflects Qatar’s commitment to maintaining high safety standards while supporting the country’s role as a regional hub for shipping and logistics.
The Ministry of Transport emphasised that adherence to safety rules is essential to protect passengers, crew and cargo. It urged operators to conduct pre‑departure checks and follow all maritime instructions to avoid penalties or suspension of operations.
