Gulf News, 22 September 2026: The UAE banking sector, under the leadership of the Central Bank and in collaboration with the UAE Banks Federation, is developing a unified digital platform to streamline customer information updates across institutions.
The platform, expected to launch before the end of 2026, will operate on a “golden source” principle, drawing data directly from official entities such as Emirates ID and passport authorities. Jamal Saleh, Director General of the UAE Banks Federation, explained that the initiative aims to reduce repetitive processes, improve efficiency, and enhance security. Customers will also gain access to consolidated information linked to several services in one place.
