UAE: Cabinet Adds 21 Individuals and Entities to Terrorism List

Lebanon 24, 12 May 2026: The UAE Cabinet, through Decision No. 63/2026, has approved the inclusion of 16 individuals and 5 entities associated with Hezbollah on the country’s local terrorism list, reinforcing national and international efforts to combat terrorism financing.

The decision reflects the UAE’s commitment to counterterrorism measures and international cooperation in disrupting networks engaged in financing terrorism and related activities. Authorities stressed that the move is part of a broader framework to enhance security, stability, and compliance with global standards.

Under the decree, all regulatory bodies are required to identify any financial or commercial links with the listed individuals and entities, and to implement asset freezes within 24 hours. This obligation ensures swift enforcement of sanctions and prevents illicit financial flows.

The Cabinet emphasised that the UAE maintains a zero‑tolerance policy toward terrorism and extremism in all forms, aiming to block funding sources and dismantle transnational support networks. The decision also underscores the country’s alignment with regional and international counterterrorism frameworks.
