LexisNexis Southeast Asia wins at Singapore Business Review Technology Excellence Awards 2026
Protégé enhances legal research and drafting through AI-driven workflows.
LexisNexis Southeast Asia won AI - Legal in the Singapore Business Review Technology Excellence Awards 2026 for its personalised AI assistant, Protégé.
Protégé combines agentic, generative, and conversational AI capabilities to support legal professionals across research, analysis, drafting, and review. Commercially available in Singapore since October 2025, it reflects the growing adoption of AI-assisted workflows in the legal sector.
The platform executes multi-step legal tasks within a single interaction, including interpreting complex queries, retrieving relevant case law and legislation, generating structured outputs, and reviewing responses for consistency. This reduces reliance on multiple tools and manual handoffs across workflows.
Grounded in LexisNexis legal content, including Singapore legislation, case law, and commentary, Protégé delivers outputs backed by verified authorities. It also includes citation validation features to support source verification and accuracy.
Embedded within Lexis+, the assistant adapts to user preferences, firm-approved templates, and prior work, helping legal teams maintain consistency and streamline document creation.
The system supports natural-language queries, reducing reliance on traditional Boolean search and lowering the learning curve for junior and non-specialist users. It also offers a dual-mode interface, allowing users to switch between legal AI and general AI depending on task requirements.
Security remains a priority, with enterprise-grade safeguards including encryption of data in transit and at rest to support confidentiality in legal environments.
