By: The Practical Guidance Team at LexisNexis Canada

As Canadian legal practices continue to navigate increasing complexity across employment, technology, litigation, and real estate matters, Practical Guidance continues to expand with new jurisdiction-specific content, enhanced tools, and practical resources shaped directly by customer feedback.

The November and December 2025 updates reflect a strong focus on labour and employment law expansion, technology-driven legal risk, litigation awareness, and practice-ready resource kits across multiple core practice areas. Below is a closer look at what’s new.

Employment: Expanded Labour Law and Growing Québec Content

Responding to strong customer demand, Practical Guidance has expanded its labour law coverage with new practice notes outlining the grievance arbitration process in:

  • Alberta
  • British Columbia
  • Federal jurisdiction

Coverage for Ontario is currently in development and will be released soon.

In addition, jurisdiction-specific employment content continues to grow for Western Canada, with new resources addressing key workplace compliance and labour relations issues, including reprisals, duty of fair representation complaints, and a British Columbia employer compliance resource kit.

Québec content also continues to expand, with the recent release of the French-language practice note Les droits de la personne en matière d’emploi et en milieu de travail, addressing human rights considerations in the workplace. Additional Québec precedents and supporting materials are expected in the near future.
