PA Launches Infrastructure Workforce Development Program

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) issued an executive order directing up to $400 million in federal funding to a new infrastructure workforce development program. The Commonwealth Workforce Transformation Program will reimburse organizations that train infrastructure workers. The governor said the program was the first of its kind in the nation. McDonald’s Franchise Illegally Employs 80 Minors in LA, TX

A McDonald`s franchise that operates a dozen restaurants in New Orleans hired over 80 minors in Louisiana and Texas, in violation of child labor laws, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. The franchise, CLB Investments LLC, was fined $56,106 for the violations. (INSURANCE JOURNAL)
