2025 Wyoming Business Law Updates: Dissolution Rules, Disaster Loans, and Trade Name Reforms
By Eric Geringswald | CSC
New Laws Affect Foreign-Controlled Entities, Disaster Relief, and Trade Name Integrity
In 2025, the Wyoming Legislature amended several key statutes impacting the state’s business entity laws. Notable changes include:
- The Secretary of State is now authorized to administratively dissolve any entity owned or controlled by a foreign adversary
- A new program will provide short-term bridge loans to Wyoming small businesses following declared natural disasters
- The Secretary of State may cancel trade name registrations if an applicant provides fraudulent information or fails to correct false statements upon request
The 2025 edition of Wyoming Laws Governing Business Entities Annotated reflects these and other legislative updates. The Table of Sections Affected identifies exactly which statutes were added or revised, while the Legislative Analysis offers insights into how these updates impact Wyoming business law.
