Public Charge Litigation Heats Up

On Feb. 18, 2020 a letter was sent to DOJ counsel by the 2nd Cir. / NY litigation team, and a 28(j) letter was filed by the 4th Cir. / Maryland litigation team.

Both documents highlight USCIS' illegal attempts to 1) make seeking LPR status a negative factor and 2) establish a heightened burden of proof.
