New Reporting Requirements Impacting Certain Real Estate Transactions
The U.S. Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) recently issued a nationwide reporting rule effective December 1, 2025. This new rule mandates certain reporting requirements on title insurance companies, real estate agents, and real estate closing attorneys handling non-financed residential real estate transactions involving beneficial ownership of nonindividual transferees.
