No Reason to Forget! DC Plan Periodic Notice Requirements
Plan sponsors use periodic notices to inform participants (and beneficiaries) of their rights, obligations, and benefits, and to provide other information regarding the plan in which they are eligible or in which they participate. While plan sponsors typically provide these notices on an annual basis, some notices are provided at different intervals, and forgetting them can create its own problems.
