Okay, so You Built a Powerplant . . . Now What?
There is a significant and growing need to add additional generating capacity to our electrical grid. With the popularity of electric vehicles here to stay—it is projected that 67% of vehicles sold in 2032 will be electric—and technology ingraining itself in our everyday lives, we simply need more power. But, even with the build-out of traditional and renewable generating capacity, operators need to sign utility customers up to power purchase agreements to guarantee that the electricity generated will be sold into the wider electric grid over a long-term period. This not only guarantees capacity gains but also helps bring in guaranteed financing.
