- Illinois: Illinois amends its Equal Pay Act to require employers to include the pay scale and benefits for a position in job postings, to provide third-party job posters with pay scale and benefits information, and to inform employees of promotion opportunities. See 2023 Ill. HB 3129.
- Maryland: The Maryland Supreme Court holds that the prohibitions against sex discrimination in the Maryland Fair Employment Practices Act and the Maryland Equal Pay for Equal Work Act do not include a prohibition against sexual orientation discrimination. See Doe v. Catholic Relief Servs., No. 28, 2023 Md. LEXIS 341 (Aug. 14, 2023).
