September 17, 2007 — New York, NY, September 17, 2007 - LexisNexis today announced the launch of Juris® Active Information Business Intelligence module, the first product launch since LexisNexis acquired Juris in July.

The Active Information Business Intelligence module builds on the existing Juris® from LexisNexis® product line of solutions aimed at faster, more profitable decisions for key decision makers within law firms.  This new module is the second of three modules to be released under the Active Information product umbrella, which currently includes the Core Reporting and the upcoming third release, Budgeting and Forecasting module, which will enable firms to build more complex budgets with multiple forecasts. Business Intelligence builds upon the capabilities of Core Reporting module by providing the following:

• A custom dashboard designer that turns key reporting and business metric information into powerful visuals or “dashboards” that can more readily indicate if the firm is tracking different from it’s goals or to simply provide daily management information in the visual form of images, charts or graphs as opposed to report form.
• The ability to utilize an “alert” feature that is triggered by rules or exceptions that you set surrounding key business metrics or critical success factors at the firm. Alerts can create an automatic call to action that otherwise may be left unnoticed for days through waiting on reports or conducting analysis of information.
• A business metrics library with most of the common metrics used by successful law firms today. It is a proven fact that measurement improves performance and the Business Intelligence module takes the measurement feature to a new level through these powerful measurements.

“We are excited about the release of Juris Active Information Business Intelligence” says Tim Payne, Vice President, General Manager of LexisNexis. The Core Reporting module has been extremely successful to date and we have had several clients who pre-ordered the Business Intelligence module well before the release date. Law firms in the mid-market realize the benefits of products that provide real time business critical information that can be accessed anytime, anywhere that drives key business decisions and ultimately affects firm profitability. ”
