Appointment complements company transformation to Total Solutions strategy

January 25, 2008 — New York, NY, January 25, 2008 - LexisNexis Group (LNG) today announced the appointment of Joe Eberhardt to the newly created position of Global Chief Marketing Officer effective January 1, 2008. Eberhardt joins LexisNexis from DaimlerChrysler and will be based in the company’s New York City headquarters reporting directly to Andy Prozes, Chief Executive Officer of LexisNexis Group.

In this newly created position, Eberhardt will be responsible for effectively developing and communicating the value of all LexisNexis brands and product platforms as well as the transformation of the company into a total solutions provider. Following the recent announcement that LexisNexis has realigned its organizational structure and will implement new global initiatives, Eberhardt will lead a unified and strategic global marketing organization governing all LexisNexis business units.

A 25-year veteran of the automotive industry, Eberhardt served as the Executive Vice President of Global Sales, Marketing and Service and a member of the Chrysler Group Executive Committee. Prior to that he was responsible for all of DaimlerChrysler’s operations in the United Kingdom as President and CEO and led Mercedes-Benz Sales, Marketing and Service in the U.S. Previously Eberhardt held a variety of roles in worldwide product management, marketing, and other sales related functions for Mercedes-Benz.

Eberhardt earned a Master of Arts in Political Economics from the Academy for Administration and Economics in Stuttgart, Germany and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
