LexisNexis Launches New Law Journals on High Profile Legal Issues
Privacy & Cybersecurity, Energy Law and Government Contracting
are focus of new A.S. Pratt Law Journals September 29, 2015 — NEW YORK - LexisNexis® Legal & Professional today announced the launch of the third of three new law journals from the authoritative A.S. Pratt Journals collection covering some of the most critical and broad-reaching issues currently faced by law firms, companies, and government institutions. “These new journals are the latest example of the LexisNexis commitment to offer legal professionals the most timely, highest quality legal and business expertise on major issues of the day,” said Steve Errick, vice president and managing director of Research Information at LexisNexis. The A.S. Pratt journals add to the leading collection of exclusive content for the legal market from LexisNexis, which includes comprehensive case law, public records, legislative and regulatory information, insightful analytical publications, the world's largest archive of news, breaking legal news from Law360®, focused practice area and jurisdictional content, federal and state court dockets, briefs, pleadings and motions and more. The new Pratt's Privacy & Cybersecurity Law Report addresses the need for timely information on privacy and cybersecurity law during an era in which data breaches occur at businesses large and small on a daily basis. The journal examines and analyzes current local and global developments in privacy and cybersecurity law, including statutory and regulatory developments, active litigation and resulting case law, data breach prevention and response, dispute resolution and industry developments. The journal is published nine times a year. Pratt's Energy Law Report, published 10 times per year, focuses on domestic and international alternative and traditional energy issues, as well as the critical juncture where energy technologies and the environment intersect. Articles discuss, analyze, and review pertinent energy and energy-related environmental developments from federal, state and local governments, as well as case law and industry advancements. LexisNexis also launched Pratt's Government Contracting Law Report, a monthly journal that focuses on federal government contracting statutory and regulatory developments, case law, dispute resolution, industry developments and more. This type of working knowledge about federal agencies involved in contracts is exceptionally important to government contractors, as well as their legal and business advisors, as they attempt to balance an extraordinary set of legal, business and compliance challenges against the backdrop of ever-changing public procurement rules, shrinking federal spending on contracts and increased competition for potentially lucrative contracts and grants. Each journal has a board of editors comprising partners and senior lawyers from top U.S. and international law firms, all specializing in the areas of law covered by their respective publications. “For the three new journals from A.S. Pratt, we've gathered a stellar group of lawyers, writers and editors to produce publications that cover data security, energy and contracting law from a perspective that offers legal professionals the highest quality and most timely content available – helping them both understand the issues and confidently act on behalf of their clients or business,” said Steven A. Meyerowitz, editor-in-chief of the new publications. Two of the new A.S. Pratt publications are readily available in Lexis Advance®, with the third launching late October. All three journals are currently available on a subscription basis in print and digital formats. More information about these publications, others from A.S. Pratt and the broad collection of titles from LexisNexis can be found online at the LexisNexis® Store. LexisNexis acquired A.S. Pratt in 2013. About LexisNexis® Legal & Professional
