Haywood Talcove Brings Public Sector Experience and Customer-Focus to Leadership Role

April 28, 2008 — Washington, D.C - LexisNexis Special Services Inc. (LNSSI), the trusted leader in enabling government agencies to transform data into mission-critical decisions, today announced the appointment of Haywood J. Talcove as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. He will be based in the LNSSI offices in Washington DC and reports to the LexisNexis Special Services Inc. Board of Directors.

Talcove brings strong public sector experience to LexisNexis, having served as Vice President of Public Sector Americas for Juniper Networks, where he was focused on acquisition and support for all federal, state and local, and education sales. Prior to that, he was Juniper's Vice President of Government and Education, where he tripled their state and local and education business in 28 months. Earlier in his career, Talcove served in several positions at Cabletron Systems.


Talcove's responsibilities include day-to-day operations and management of sales and marketing functions. Eventually he is expected to succeed Norman Willox as Chairman of the Board.  Mr. Willox will remain on the LNSSI board and will focus on industry thought leadership. LexisNexis Special Services serves government.
