LexisNexis Unveils New Look and Enhancements for lexis.com
More than three-quarters of early users agree that updates provide them with faster, easier access to content and tools, resulting in better time-management at no additional cost November 3, 2010 — NEW YORK – LexisNexis, a leading global provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, today introduced a new user interface and key enhancements to lexis.com® – its flagship online legal research platform. “Following in the footsteps of Lexis for Microsoft Office and Lexis Advance for Solos, the new user interface and enhancements to lexis.com represent the latest in a series of innovations that LexisNexis has developed with our customers to enable them to achieve better outcomes by helping them find the information they need and to more effectively manage their businesses,” said Bob Romeo, senior vice president of Research and Litigation Solutions at LexisNexis. Developed in close collaboration with LexisNexis customers, the re-designed product and enhancements provide a clean, simple interface that enables easy access to the essential content and research tools most important to each individual user at no additional cost. The streamlined and customizable interface presents access to all critical tasks and sources on a single page for easier navigation and fewer clicks. For example, users can now easily customize the interface to the areas most relevant to them – including practice areas or jurisdiction. By surfacing all customized content, users will now have a clearer picture of what is available to them. Additionally, lexis.com now provides access to search results from open source content via Lexis® Web, giving customers relevant free legal content alongside trusted documents and services directly from LexisNexis. All of these changes translate into more efficient and productive work for legal professionals and delivery of greater service to their clients. Released last month among a group of more than 10,000 early users that includes a cross section of legal professionals, the new interface and enhancements have earned positive feedback. For example, results from a survey of early users found: Starting in November 2010, the new interface and site enhancements will be rolled out to different segments of the legal market. Users of the new user interface and enhancements do not need to install any downloads or perform any system modifications, and their account preferences will automatically carry over to the new interface. More information about the enhancements can be found at www.lexisnexis.com/lexisenhancements. About the Survey About LexisNexis
The lexis.com enhancements survey was conducted by LexisNexis in October 2010 and sent to 4,700 legal professionals in the early user group for the re-designed lexis.com interface. Results cited are based on responses by the more than 200 customers who logged into and used the new interface and enhancements.
