June 21, 2013 — Important Information for LexisNexis Customers regarding recent spam emails

On Friday, June 21, 2013, a large number of LexisNexis® customers and other organizations received fraudulent e-mails claiming to be from LexisNexis and containing what appear to be invoices. These e-mails and the invoices are not legitimate and originate from outside our systems. LexisNexis systems remain secure and unaffected.

If you receive the phishing email, delete it immediately and do not open the attachment. If you opened the attachment, we suggest you contact your organization’s IT department or run a virus scan of your system. We also encourage you to follow security procedures and change your username and password. Even if you did not click on the link, it is always prudent to make sure your virus protection is up to date.

To speak with a LexisNexis customer service specialist regarding this matter call 800-543-6862.
