LexisNexis content and workflow solutions available to all Federal Judiciary staff

December 1, 2014 — NEW YORK - LexisNexis® Legal & Professional, a leading global provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, today announced that the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts has awarded the company a five-year contract to continue to provide the U.S. Courts, federal defenders, and probation and pre-trial offices nationwide access to LexisNexis® comprehensive content offerings and workflow solutions.

The contract gives more than 10,000 judiciary researchers and staff access to the proprietary, exclusive, and unique content, tools and resources that are only available through LexisNexis.

LexisNexis will provide primary and secondary legal, non-legal, news and public records content, exhaustive company information, and solutions—which are mission critical in supporting the research needs of the Federal Judiciary staff with the greatest efficiency.

The U.S. Courts—including judges, law clerks, staff attorneys, court research librarians, interns and other court staff—have many different types of specific research needs, requiring quick access to the broadest range of trustworthy and timely content.

In addition to primary legal content from LexisNexis, Federal Judiciary researchers will have access to mission critical content, such as Matthew Bender treatises—Moore's Federal Practice® and Collier on Bankruptcy®—and premiere research products, such as A.S. Pratt™ & Sheshunoff®; and Michie™ publications on Federal law, practice and procedure.

Also available to researchers: American Lawyer Media (ALM) legal news publications and LexisNexis Law360®, the leading publishers of daily legal news and analysis.

With LexisNexis® Publisher, LexisNexis® Dossier Suite and LexisNexis® Analyzer—Federal Judiciary staff will have access to critical and comprehensive business news and information and tools to search, retrieve, edit and disseminate the information to a variety of platforms (mobile, email, portals, electronic newsletters).

Other LexisNexis offerings available to Federal Judiciary staff include: Shepard's® Citations Service, which provides comprehensive editorial analysis of case outcomes, and CourtLink®, which has federal and state court dockets and documents for research, tracking and profiling. Federal and community defenders will have access to exclusive drafting solutions, such as the award-winning Lexis® for Microsoft Office®.
