Loyd Auerbach - Knowledge & Research Consultant

Loyd Auerbach is Knowledge & Research Consultant with cumulatively over 31 years working for LexisNexis in various roles. Additionally, during a multi-year period away from the company, he worked as a contract librarian and researcher for several law firms and in the library at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

His roles at LexisNexis prior to joining the KRC team in 2017 include being a training consultant and as an Area of Law Applications Consultant on the West Coast, presenting for firms in the Greater Bay Area, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, and Denver.

Loyd’s experience goes far beyond his extensive experience in the legal industry and is one of those people said to have a “portfolio career.” He was on faculty at John F. Kennedy University from 1983-2021, and at Atlantic University since 2011. He is a professional speaker and has both taught public speaking and acted as a public speaking and media skills coach. Well known for the topic and his expertise, he currently teaches online Parapsychology courses for the Rhine Education Center and is an often-requested guest for podcasts (and the occasional TV show).

He is a published author with 10 nonfiction titles, and co-author of two mystery novels. He occasionally performs professionally as a mentalist and also holds a certificate as a professional chocolatier (something many librarians have experienced).

As if that’s not enough, he is President of the boards of two nonprofit organizations: the Rhine Research Center and the Forever Family Foundation.

Loyd received his Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from Northwestern University, and his Master of Science degree in Parapsychology from John F. Kennedy University.
