Accessing the Product Switcher and Changing You Landing Page in Lexis+® with Protégé™

If you are accessing the new Protégé interface in Lexis+ with Protégé, you may have found that signing on takes you directly into Protégé. You may be looking for Lexis+ Legal Research, Practical Guidance, Litigation Analytics, Document Analysis, or the Legal News Hub which were formerly available through the Experience Dock on the left side of Lexis+.

(Former user interface with Experience Dock)

The “switch product” tile grid can now be found in the lower left corner of the screen. That will not only allow you to switch to a different LexisNexis product, but also to the other experiences within Lexis+.

(New user interface)

However, you may prefer to have a different landing page than Protégé itself. Changing the landing page is a simple process. Here’s what to do to get the Legal Research experience as the landing page when logging in. Naturally, you can also set it as Practical Guidance, Legal News Hub, etc.

You’re going to change your Settings.

If starting from Protégé:

  1. Click on your name in the lower left corner of the Protégé screen, then click Settings
  2. In the left column on the Settings page, click on Lexis+
  3. In the Product box, under Starting Product, change what’s in the box (using the drop-down list) to “Legal Research” or “Practical Guidance,” etc. Your changes will save automatically.
  4. Click on the Lexis+ AI logo in the upper left corner
  5. When you sign back into Lexis, you should see your new landing page – note it may take a few hours to “stick.”

If starting this change in the Legal Research experience (or Practical Guidance, etc.):

  1. Click the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the screen, then click Settings in the drop down
  2. In the left column on the Settings page, click on Lexis+
  3. In the Product box, under Starting Product, change what’s in the box (using the drop-down list) to “Legal Research” or “Practical Guidance,” etc.
  4. Click on the Lexis+ AI logo in the upper left corner
  5. Sign off then sign back on to confirm that this worked
