How to Find Major News on Industry Trends and Issues
Lexis+® makes it easy to stay current on emerging trends, regulatory developments, competitive activity, and major news across specific industries. Using the News by Industry category, researchers can quickly narrow results to highly relevant trade publications, business news outlets, and industry-focused reporting.

For example, to research developments in the semiconductor industry, select the appropriate industry source under Computing & Information Technology, or related technology industry categories.

Then use that Advanced Search page to target specific topics using the segments listed there. Here we will utilize the Headline and Lead Sections field for: semiconductor! OR chipmaker! OR microchip!

To refine results and surface the most relevant insights, apply filters after running the search.

Researchers can narrow by industry subcategory to focus on areas such as semiconductor manufacturing, chip design, or telecommunications equipment. Geographic filters are also valuable for identifying regional developments, including U.S.-China trade issues, Taiwan manufacturing activity, or European semiconductor policy initiatives. Combining industry-specific sources with targeted search terms and filters helps researchers efficiently identify trends, track major issues, and monitor breaking news affecting a particular market sector.
Once you have a worthy results set, you can click the bell icon at the top of the page and be alerted to when new items have been published that fit your search criteria. Staying on top of industry trends could not get any easier!
