Expanded Guided Research within Protégé Ask

Guided Research has expanded to allow you to refine search plans and choose relevant citations for more tailored results. It provides greater transparency and control by revealing how the system interprets the prompt and allows you to guide the search.

When turned on, Guided Research provides:

• More Technologically Advanced Search: A more powerful way to search that involves an agent creating a research plan
• Greater Transparency and Trust: Clear insight into the model's search plan and reasoning
• Greater Control: An interactive search approach allows you to refine the search plan and retrieved citations

How It Works:

Step 1: Reasoning and Planner – After submitting a query and toggling on the Guided Research button, you will see the reasoning from model explain how it makes the search plan.

Step 2: Modify the sub queries provided by Planner (Optional) – You can decide whether to modify the sub queries. 

Step 3: Citation Retrieval - Once you confirm the sub queries, you can check the highly relevant citations retrieved and their snippets to confirm the citations you want to include:
