For example, an attorney reviewing a collection of agreements could create a column asking Protégé to “Extract names of all involved parties and their roles” to display this information from each agreement. Other columns could be added to extract dates, monetary values, yes/no classifications, or verbatim clauses. 

Protégé then processes the documents and populates the table, allowing legal professionals to review answers side by side across the document set. 

The result is a more structured way to approach large-scale document analysis—without requiring legal professionals to manually build and populate a spreadsheet before they can begin comparing information. 

Ask New Questions without Starting Over 

Review tables support the dynamic nature of legal analysis. During the review process, legal professionals can add new columns to the review table as they define additional lines of inquiry. They can also manage the structure of the table by adding, renaming, deleting, and reordering columns, as well as adding manual-input columns for information such as notes.
