Enhanced LexisNexis Protégé™ Vault capabilities are designed to make more, richer content available in one environment. Vault capacity is expanding to 10,000 documents, while support for files up to 500 MB and additional multimedia file types—including audio, video and images—makes it possible to work from a more complete record.
That means teams can keep briefs, evidence, recordings, exhibits, images and other matter materials together, reducing the need to convert files, duplicate storage, or move information between separate tools.
Having the right content available is only part of the equation. Legal professionals also need to collaborate as they move their work forward—and a place where the work surrounding that content can come together.
Legal professionals already organize their work around matters—but their work product and the conversations around it may be spread across different tools. Workrooms in Lexis+ with Protégé are designed to change that, providing a persistent, shareable workspace where the different elements of a matter can come together.
Conversations, documents and other work can live alongside one another across the full lifecycle of a matter, allowing teams to build on existing context rather than recreate individually.

That’s where skills come in.
Skills are instructions for how to perform specific tasks. They provide a flexible foundation for completing legal work using the capabilities of Lexis+ with Protégé. They build on previous workflow functionality to help Protégé plan, execute, and refine increasingly complex legal work. Skills are used across AI tools – like ChatGPT, Claude, and other frontier solutions. In Lexis+ with Protégé, legal professionals can combine this cutting-edge approach to repeatable work with legal content, organizational knowledge, and legal intelligence in the same, secure environment.

In Lexis+ with Protégé, skills are organized by practice area to support the levels of work and precision required across legal tasks. LexisNexis legal professionals have built a set of useful skills based on our extensive legal experience and thorough testing with customers. Users can also access skills that were developed by Anthropic, the makers of Claude. Users and administrators can create reusable skills based on their own preferred templates or processes. These skills can be shared across teams within the organization. Skills can be deployed for common and complex tasks, providing a guided starting point for activities such as contract review, document analysis, and drafting support.
The result is an AI experience that can help professionals move from a blank prompt toward a proven structured approach to the work—while still giving them the ability to review, refine and apply their own judgment.
