A bipartisan group of Pennsylvania lawmakers plans to introduce legislation that would set oversight and privacy safeguards for automated license plate readers, including Flock cameras. Those protections include rules governing access to reader data, data retention, transparency and audit trails. The measure would also establish civil penalties for unauthorized access, use or disclosure and allow individuals harmed by misuse to bring civil actions. (STATELINE)
