Duane Cary is a Training Specialist for the Business and Litigation Software Solutions team.  In a prior life, he worked in retail as a General Manager specializing in customer service and growing businesses.  After over a decade in malls and free-standing structures, he left that world behind and started with LexisNexis in 2005, bringing his customer service skills to Time Matters/Billing Matters tech support.  He moved to a TM/BM training role in 2007, and has added PCLaw, Juris, Juris Suite, and CounselLink to his skillset.  He has helped design content for classes and has used his customer service skills to resolve Net Promoter Score detractors’ and escalation customers’ issues.  He designed an Implementation program for LNTPA and also designed the current virtual environment used to train both internal and external clients to make classes more interactive.  He has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Networking.  His passion is training, and he lives for the “I didn’t know it could do that!” moments when customers learn something new about their software that will make their working lives that much easier.  When not working, he travels with his wife, a practicing Family Law attorney since 1995 with her own successful solo firm, and writes short fiction, novels, and screenplays.

Linda Tant

Linda Tant is the Lead Learning Technologist for the LexisNexis Business of Law Software Solutions team. In her role, she designs and develops web-based training modules and instructor-led classroom materials for various LexisNexis software products. Her background includes technology support and training for the mortgage and real estate industry.

Amy Nelson

Amy handles the design, development and delivery of educational programs that benefit various LexisNexis user communities. Earlier in her career, she was an education specialist supporting the clinical and academic needs of a major medical center, and also had roles as a lab technician and public school teacher. Adept at using technology to facilitate the learning process for audiences and students of any age, Amy earned a Master of Education degree from North Carolina State University in Workforce Development and Training, and also a B.S. degree in Biology from East Carolina University.

David Johnston

David runs the BLSS Professional Services Organization’s Project Management Office in Raleigh, NC. The PMO is responsible for successful delivery and tracking of cross-business line projects and departmental initiatives. David has worked with LexisNexis for three years and has worked in the field of project management for close to twenty-five. His background includes film, television and game production as well as software development and program management. David holds a communications and mass media degree from NC State University and lives in downtown Raleigh with his wife Jan.

Jonathan Biebesheimer

Jonathan Biebesheimer is a seasoned business professional with over twenty years of experience working with both profit and non-profit organizations globally.  Jonathan joined LexisNexis in 2007 and has performed various roles within the sales organization, he currently serves as a solution architect for the entire practice management portfolio including Time Matters, PCLaw and Juris.  Prior to LexisNexis Jonathan owned and operated multiple technology-based business ventures of his own.

Drew Sammeth

Drew is a LexisNexis Client Educator for InterAction. He administered and trained on InterAction for almost 10 years in law firm settings. He made the ‘vendor jump’ to join LexisNexis and brings a unique perspective to his training sessions. He loves finding hidden meanings, and his favorite
movie is “Steel Magnolias” (or anything with Dolly Parton).

Elena Cutri

An educator by trade, Elena is a lifelong learner (aka school nerd!) at heart. She is fascinated by how people leverage learning to live intelligent and informed lives. As Director of Education Services for LexisNexis, she enjoys partnering with clients to guide their change management efforts through learning. Elena holds both a Master of Arts degree in Corporate Communications and a Master in Business Administration degree in Management. She is also an Adjunct Faculty member teaching Public Speaking 101 at a Chicagoland college. When not working, she spends time with her family, leads a Girl Scout troop and teaches classes for adults with special needs.

Kelly Spratt-Szarzynski

Kelly brings over 20 years of legal industry experience to the table, having worked in both law firm and corporate legal environments prior to joining LexisNexis. Kelly began with Lexis as a CounselLink Account Manager and transitioned to the Professional Services Organization, where she provides strategic consulting to legal departments to optimize processes, procedures and strategic initiatives. Kelly holds her B.S from the University of Illinois, majoring in Political Science and Speech Communications, and obtained her Paralegal Certificate from Loyola University. A lifelong learner, Kelly is currently pursuing her Masters in Organizational Change Leadership at the University of Wisconsin.

Kathy Baker

Kathy is currently in her 18^th year as a LexisNexis/Juris employee, working with Juris and Juris Suite software.  She currently is in a Consultant role on the Professional Solutions team and delivers onsite and remote consulting services to new and existing Juris clients.  Since the Fall of 2010 Kathy has delivered consulting services to over 100 new and existing Juris clients. Additionally, Kathy was the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of the Tennessee Division of the American Cancer Society for over 13 years.  Kathy has a passion for Juris, she is dedicated, she always strives for customer satisfaction, and with her the customer comes first!

Michael Baass

Michael is a Senior Project Manager in the BLSS Project Management Office. He oversees a portfolio of CRM and enterprise legal management solution projects. Michael has worked with LexisNexis for 12 years, and has experience in the investment, insurance, and legal industries. He holds a B.S. degree from Marquette University and an M.B.A. degree from National University, and is also PMP certified.

Lauren Davis

Lauren Davis is the Training Administrator at LexisNexis Legal and Professional.  Her background is in teaching and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  She also holds a Masters of Elementary Education from Gardner Webb University.  She was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, GO PACK! She has a passion for volunteering with kids with needs and rescue dogs.  In her free time she loves to spend time with her family and friends, her fur babies and to travel.
