Myfanwy is also the Executive Sponsor for LexisNexis Australia’s Rule of Law program and has worked with government organisations across the Pacific, including the Australian Human Rights Commission, to ensure that legal materials are accessible and actionable. One of her notable roles was part of the Expert Reference Group for the Human Rights and Technology Project, led by the Commission. Following the release of the final report, Myfanwy is keen to further this work by demonstrating the financial and non-financial benefits of adhering to international human rights principles within governance frameworks.
Sean Murphy is the Accessibility Senior Lead for Telstra in the Consumer and small Business organisation. Leveraging his extensive knowledge of accessibility and disability issues, he was formerly a member of the Global Leadership Council for the International Association for Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) and on the Expert Reference Group for the Australian Human Rights Commission’s “Future Technology” project, focusing on AI ethics. Sean was previously a director of the Digital Gap Initiative NGO, advocating for laws, standards and social strategies for accessibility and inclusion for all in the digital age. He has also worked at Freedom Scientific on the Jaws for Windows Screen Reader and provided a submission to the Australian Council of Learned Academies (ACOLA) paper on AI Ethics Impact to Accessibility and Disabilities.
Sean is a role model through his ‘can-do’ attitude which inspires others in their daily life. If a barrier is found, he always seeks and finds a solution.
