LexisNexis Introduces Concordance Native Viewer Functionality for E-Discovery Review Management Software

August 02, 2011

New application eliminates need to convert files from their original format to image files, creating faster review and reducing costs

August 2, 2011 — NEW YORK - LexisNexis (www.lexisnexis.com), a leading global provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, today announced the introduction of an important new capability for its Concordance® e-discovery review management software that allows users to identify key documents earlier in the review process.

Concordance Native Viewer is an innovative new application that works with Concordance products, enabling litigation professionals to view electronic documents in their original format. This allows them to obtain a contextual understanding of the document and make necessary redactions against the native view, rather than automatically sending all of those files through costly document processing.

“By empowering our customers with the ability to view electronic documents in their native state, Concordance Native Viewer gives them the ability to begin the review process sooner,” said Deborah Jillson, vice president of Litigation Tools at LexisNexis. “This translates into a speedier review workflow and a significant reduction in electronic document processing costs.”

The new capability has just been added to the traditional Concordance e-discovery review management product, which continues to receive ongoing investment and product development resources from LexisNexis. Separately, native review capabilities are also part of the company’s new Concordance® Evolution enterprise software, which was launched last month. Concordance Evolution is designed for large and complex cases, while the traditional Concordance product is ideal for small to mid-sized litigation.

Concordance Native Viewer also includes an advanced production model with which users can save production settings for future use, a bulk printing capability that allows them to quickly print multiple hard copies of documents and new support for full-color productions of documents.

Today’s announcement is the second in a series of product introductions from LexisNexis related to its Concordance software family.

“Our strategy is to provide our customers with the best set of product choices to fit the size and budget of each individual case they are litigating,” said Jillson. “We will continue to invest in the development of our family of Concordance e-discovery review management software tools in response to the evolving needs of litigation professionals.”
