Juris Version 2.5 Adds Powerful Collections Management, Reporting and Client Communication Tools

June 28, 2011 — NEW YORK, NY - LexisNexis (www.lexisnexis.com), a leading global provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, today announced the launch of LexisNexis Juris® Suite Collections, a new collections module for LexisNexis Juris®, a billing, accounting and financial management software for mid-sized law firms. Juris Suite Collections, available in Juris version 2.5, helps law firms isolate and manage delinquent accounts to speed up client payments while reducing the overall time spent on collections activities.

"LexisNexis Juris Suite Collections gives law firms a powerful set of tools to proactively manage their accounts receivables collections process and improve profitability," said Michael Lipps, vice president and managing director, Legal Business Software Solutions for LexisNexis. "The time to handle receivables is before they become a problem, not after, since the odds of collecting go down dramatically the longer the bill is unpaid. The new Juris application is designed to help law firms manage their collections process in a more effective and efficient manner, while also giving them an easier way to tailor communications appropriate to each client relationship."

Selected features of the new Juris Suite Collections module include:

  • Centralized Account History: A customizable dashboard enables firms to quickly locate all information related to an overdue account — including client contacts, balances, status and bill details — and document actions taken to obtain payment to prevent future client disputes.
  • Customizable Management Reports: These reports help firms proactively evaluate outstanding balances by client, case or matter. Firms can also use the reports to pinpoint internal collections issues that might be related to a particular category of bill, office or attorney.
  • Efficient Communications Templates: Configured to different stages in the collections cycle, templates help firms quickly generate client-specific collections letters to facilitate payment.
  • Proactive Alerts: Staff involved in collections efforts can improve their productivity and effectiveness by scheduling follow-up reminders for future actions.

Juris Suite Collections, as well as an improved electronic billing interface delivered in the previous release, are the latest in a series of new functionality added to the Juris software solution to help accelerate firm cash flow and improve firm productivity with the goal to improve a firm’s bottom line.

Juris version 2.5 is available at no additional cost to customers with an active Juris Subscription Agreement or a current Software Maintenance and Technical Support Agreement. The new Juris Suite Collections module is also available at no additional cost to Juris Premium Subscription customers. More information about Juris version 2.5 is available at www.lexisnexis.com/Juris.
