2025 AI Deployment and Governance Survey Report released

Abstract:
The 2025 AI Deployment and Governance Survey Report has been released, revealing a growing divide between large organisations and their smaller, not-for-profit counterparts. The survey, sponsored by the National Artificial Intelligence Centre, Diligent and PKF, aimed to capture insight on the current state of AI adoption, governance frameworks, and challenges and benefits experienced by smaller organisations.
Conducted in February 2025, the survey received more than 344 responses from professionals across different industries, including education, financial services, healthcare, public administration and professional services.
Key insights from the report include:
- 93% of respondents cannot effectively measure AI return on investment;
- 88% struggle to integrate AI with legacy systems;
- almost half of the surveyed professionals have received no AI training;
- about two-thirds of organisations have not established AI training programs; and
- poor digital literacy and lack of knowledge remain as primary barriers.
