In-House Counsel Spotlight: Dina Maxwell
Dina Maxwell is Senior Legal Counsel and Privacy Lead at PwC Canada. She advises on all aspects of privacy program management with a view to provincial, national and international data protection law. She develops strategies for measuring the effectiveness and performance of corporate privacy programs, conducts privacy impact assessments and gap analyses, and prepares guidance documents and toolkits for corporate privacy training. She advises on breach management, access to information requests, cross border data transfers, anti-spam and marketing compliance, and privacy contractual terms. Dina is a frequent presenter, speaker and author on privacy, data governance, and big data topics. Dina is a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and a Certified Information Privacy Professional in both Canada (CIPP/C), and the United States (CIPP/US), as designated by the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Dina received her J.D. from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law in 2009 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010. Prior to law school, Dina received a Bachelor of Arts in English & American Literature and Language with a minor in French from Harvard University.
