He has successfully represented dozens of Ultra-high-net-worth individuals in TMT, fintech, real estate and manufacturing sectors and assisted international and China’s leading private banks, trust companies, insurance groups, family offices and other financial institutions to handle wealth planning and global asset protection/enforcement legal affairs, such as establishing onshore and offshore family trust and charitable trust, family office formation, personal tax planning, estate planning. Henry has represented a wide array of PRC and foreign listed companies as well as large investment funds in cross-border investment and other high-profile projects. Also, Henry is well versed in PRC general corporate legal, international tax and data privacy compliance matters and has provided counsel to many large multinationals and PRC enterprises in this regard.
Beyond that, Henry is passionate about and contributes substantial efforts to non-profit legal practice. He is a pioneer lawyer for non-profit law and impact investment and has advised more than 100 international and local NGOs, UN agencies, charitable foundations and philanthropists on a full range of legal and tax issues.
Henry is a frequent speaker to international forums and lecturer for top universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University and Georgetown University regarding cross-border investment, wealth planning, and non-profit law. Recently, Henry co-authored and published the book Cross Generational Wealth Management and Inheritance of Family Wealth with Tsinghua University Press. He is a Salzburg Global Seminar Fellow and an AVPN Impact Investing Fellow and has been consecutively recommended by international legal rating agencies (Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, China Business Law Journal, GDCR, etc.) for private wealth, taxation, and compliance practice. Due to his excellent contribution to philanthropy services, he has been appointed to act as the Authorized Representative of educational charity in Hong Kong SAR, China Representative of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations in Norway, and a Council Member of Beijing Capacity Building Assessment Center.
